The Green Party stand for a sustainable, fairer and more equal society.

With the economy in a mess, the gap between rich and poor widening, the selling off of our public services, the raising of tuition fees and the lack of action on climate change it is easy to see that the coalition government is in turmoil. Labour are floundering in opposition, lacking all credibility as it was they who got the country into the mess in the first place.

The Green Party stands for:

Long term, sustainable economic planning
Fully funded public services
Free education from primary school to University. An end to the marketisation of education
Real job creation, especially in Green Industry
A nationalised, cheaper railway network
An end to the war in Afghanistan and scrapping of the Trident nuclear weapons system
A health service that is fully funded and holistic. One in which we prevent as well as treat illness
Local, community policing
Regulated, cheaper buses
A redistributive tax system
